There Has Been An Assasination Attempt on Princess Crabby!!!!

Summon My Grand Vizier!

Where is My Darling Chief!

Alert The Armorer!

Pipe The Favorite Naval Consort Ashore & send him to me forthwith!

Assemble the Full Navy Coterie!

I want My Marine!

This morning was a little more tiring that usual. I spiked a small fever and that sets off a whole lot of tests, etc. Including a visit from a very self centered phlebotomist. She had terrible bedside manner.

Anyway.

After all the poking and prodding and collecting.....I fell asleep. When I woke I was roasting hot. I occasionally get hot flashes, especially when I take steroids. For over an hour I thought I was in the midst of the longest, most torturous hot flash in history. Nothing helped. Not ice chips. Not a cold compress. Not laying on top of the sheets in my skimpy pjs.

Finally, Jackie, my nurse came in to check on me and I made a joke about the hot flash. She said "Well, it is warm in here." WHAT? No one ever says that about my room/house/general location. It should be cold, like the depths of Davy Jones' Locker.

Someone had raised the thermostat to 90!

Ninety!

I was roasting alive. Jackie adjusted it and the life began to return to my body.

Now find this evildoer........my money is on the phlebotomist.

I'll pay good money to see that "discussion" when you find out who the culprit was. Meanshile...may a thousand fleas infest your phlebotomist.

Thrilled you still have your sense of humor Maggie

Here. When you've identified the target, put that on them and push this button.

I'll take care of the rest.

I understand your pain completely. We keep the Castle in the 50's. Which is a challenge in August...

She should no longer be referenced as a phlebotomist, call her what she really is, the BLOOD SUCKER! :)

I have yet to encounter a gentle phlebotomist. I even had one once threaten "Don't make me do dis again" after I squeaked at her miscue.

I think they're sadists by nature.

Is it bad that I am laughing so hard I may need my inhaler soon???

The phlebotomist is probably bitter that she works in a field that nobody knows what it is, and the name of which makes junior high kids snicker.

Remind her that Princess Crabby can summon her skull-crackers at a moment's notice!

My money is on the lobotomist, er, phlebitis, er, phlebotomist, er, blood sucking vampire (playing with the FF spellchecker didn't show the last, my opinion only).

While not in your league I have similar reservations.

I hope the trade winds have cooled things down and that you are experiencing smooth seas today

The process of drawing blood is a delicate one. It is essential that proper pphlebotomy training is utilized in order to ensure the safety of the patient and technician during the intricate procedure.
