Sherri Wants To Remind Massachusetts Military

....about the bonus that's being offered.

Veterans Encouraged To Apply For 9-11 Bonus

One-Time Payment For Service Members Called To Active Duty
Only 12,000 of 28,000 candidates eligible for a special veterans bonus have applied for the money, prompting Treasurer Timothy Cahill to issue a reminder to service members and their families.
The "Welcome Home" bonus provides a one-time payment to military service members in Massachusetts who have been called to active duty since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Those who served in Afghanistan or Iraq are eligible for $1,000, while those who served domestically or in other foreign countries for six months or more are eligible for $500.
The bonuses were part of a package signed into law Nov. 11, 2005, Veterans Day, to benefit veterans and their families.
Service members or their families must submit an application and other paperwork to Cahill's office
