Red Herring #1

Obama: I mean, look, if we want to talk about Congressman Lewis, who is an American hero, he, unprompted by my campaign, without my campaign's awareness, made a statement that he was troubled with what he was hearing at some of the rallies that your running mate was holding, in which all the Republican reports indicated were shouting, when my name came up, things like "terrorist" and "kill him," and that you're running mate didn't mention, didn't stop, didn't say "Hold on a second, that's kind of out of line."

Sarah Palin did not say "Hold on a second, that's kind of out of line." Because it didn't happen the way Obama is portraying it.

People yelled "terrorist" when Ayer's name came up. They used the word in the completely correct manner. Ayers is a terrorist.

And a word on "rehabilitating a terrorist" and all the *supposed* good works Ayers and Dohrn have done since the left the Weather Underground......in his last few years Abu Ammar became Yasar Arafat stopped throwing bombs and became a leader for his people securing international aid. He won the Nobel Peace Prize. Was he reformed? Do you think it would have been ok to hang with him? No? I didn't think so.

As a matter of fact we had a President who did hang with Abu, I mean Yasar. His name is Jimmy Carter. How did his judgement work out? Everyone likes to say this current economic crisis is the worst since the Great Depression. No it isn't. It's the worst since the Carter Administration. The Carter Administration is actually the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. People need to read more history. Obama wants you to believe that McCain's presidency will mirror George Bush's. No it won't but even if it did, Obama's will mirror Carter's and I'll take the current situation over that one any day. You want to talk about problems, you show me the Carter era gas lines. You show me someone with a 17% mortgage rate. Then we'll talk.

Next, the "kill him" story.....is just that... a story made up by a reporter. Who says so? The Secret Service.

Secret Service says "Kill him" Allegation Unfounded.
