When MT'sH found out I would be running this errand, he suggested I look up his friend the XO. As a matter of fact, he gave me a mission. It seems the XO has not forwarded a "coin" to MT'sH. Princess Crabby understands all about the coveted coins. I asked if he was giving this mission because he appreciated the fact that as a Townie, I would make for an excellent enforcer. He laughed and told me to have the XO give me a personal tour. Now it was Princess Crabby's turn to laugh!!!! I have been more places on that ship than any current crew member. Back in the day the only concern of Constitution's Sailors was that we not jump overboard! Even my mother laughed when I was relating this story. Besides I told MT'sH, if I wanted to bully someone on Old Ironsides.....I know the CO, baby. You can't trump, Princess Crabby!
Anyway, after I picked up my gift, I headed over to the ship but as luck would have it, neither the XO nor the CO were about. So I left a card with a note for the XO. No worries, Mr. T's Haircut, I've got you covered.
So I headed up to my parent's house. It was picture perfect in Boston today. I walked under the Mystic River bridge and followed the Freedom Trail up to Adams Street and they cut up Chestnut and out to Monument Square where I snapped these pics.
When Grace and I were little, our mother would take us up to the Monument to play. One of the things we would do was to go to the top of this hill and roll down. I was talking about this at dinner and Grace started to laugh about what fun it was and explain it to her kids. Jen just stared at us and exclaimed "You rolled down the hill and smacked up against the fence?!?" A look of horror and disbelief on her face. "You didn't hit the fence, silly, we weren't going that fast, for pity's sake. How much speed can you build up on that hill?" I explained. "Oh I think you did." she said, "And it explains a lot about you." Then Grace listed off some other crazy stuff we did. Now Jen thinks she has me all figured out......past brain injury.

Doesn't Jen also confuse shrimp with flounder?

Watch out! Jen is much more dangerous than I am.
Give me a head's-up if she buys a ticket for Kirkuk...
