LOL!
Yahoo ran a story about people who have converted shipping containers into living spaces.
Cove Park Artists' Retreat
Set on 50 acres of gorgeous Scottish countryside, Cove Park is an artist's retreat designed to stimulate and reinvigorate. Urban Space Management first brought in three repurposed shipping containers in 2001, and the center became so popular that more units have been added.
Doesn't look like your average shipping box, does it?

I've lived in a converted shipping container for a few months on Uncle Sam's dime. No sound insulation.
Hmmmm, sound insulation. It is extremely important to have sound insulation. We shopped extensively for insulation for my bedroom and the first question was always about sound. Maybe that's why in this article all of the container houses were in isolated places.
WHy is it you never see articles about living in unconverted shipping containers?
I got a brief glance at these homes. I'm ready to move in...
But Stella, you have to have a big piece of property.....so no one hears you. LOL
