TDY or TAD? If it si Navy it is usually TAD or have changed to the TDY?

TDY is an assignment between duty stations such as attending a school enroute to a new ship.

TAD is Temporary Additional Duty. Usually a short term assignment to a school or other command while still permanently attached to a ship or shore station.
