I Was A Good Girl Tonight

I stuck with Atkins all day and went to the gym this evening. Trish finally joined me! We share a membership and she seldom goes. Wish I had enough money to skip the gym and not feel guilty about wasting the dough!! (She reads this, so I'm really just needling her). I rewarded myself with a luxurious steammmmmmmmmmmmm. I really should go eat something. Friday is my day on the Tanker Brothers Rolling Victory Fast. I'm sure that day, I'll regret any chance I had at food that I passed up!

Maggie, I went on Atkins and lost 20 pounds. As soon as I started weening off it to any degree, I started gaining back....rapidly. My doc says it is a lifestyle that you must stay on forever. Including absolutely NO booze. I decided being chubby ain't all bad:)

True, but I'm on more than I'm off. I originally lost 91 and have managed over three years to maintain 50 of it. Your doc is right, but nothing else works for me.

Sept 4th is my day....fasting'll be easy for me.

I came down with type II diabetes, got serious about eating (and *sob* drinking), lost 50, kept it off, and watch my sugar...after 4 years got weaned off the shots and even the pills.

It's a fight and you have to obsess about every meal...but it's better than how lousy you feel if you're not careful.

It's hot and you wouldn't eat much anyway. This is the best time of year for a fast. Good luck on friday.

Ok Ok,..here I am. Finally revealed. I have heard that I have mentioned in the blog so I might as well post THE REAL TRUTH ! First of all, it is an untruth to say that I rarely go to the gym in which I pay a membership. It is better to say that I have not gone as much lately as in the beginning when I signed up because I prefer to be outside in the summer and not stuck in a gym. Needle me as much as you want Lil Ms Maggie (you know I'm fine with it) but this was stated as a fact when I signed up. Besides, I'm now weigh less than I did in my senior year in high school and I'm maintaining it. How many people can say that when they are approaching 40?
