Munich

I went to see Munich last night with my sister Grace. Good movie, bad foreign policy.

I've read it has several historical inaccuracies.

I didn't notice that so much as selective history. They showed and discussed what they wanted you to see hoping that you would come to the conclusion that killing terrorists is futile.

I throught that the movie was well made, and didn't feel the impact of the 'political statement' that harshly. It seemed to me that a large part of the societal statement made was that using such tactics to chase down and execute terrorists was bound to cause a breakdown in the good people who were the executioneers. In other words, the more moral and good that they were, the harder they found it to continue to behave like the men they hunted.

However, I have also heard that there were inaccuracies - in the actual nature of the hunter-killer teams, etc.

Barb.
I agree with what you are saying about their point vis a vis good people make bad killers. I of course disagree with their conclusion. But didn't you feel that framing the last shot around the Twin Towers was heavy handed?
