It's been a family kind of weekend, Dan's graduation party last week and Father's Day today. Jen & I are going to pick up some of those new lottery tickets
for my father and of course some Jack Daniels. I am going to see if I can't get "The Sand Pebbles". I don't think my Dad has it and it seems to be a Navy movie I should have seen.
Today it will be Sam Summer Ale and Bombay Sapphire instead of Jack Daniels. Steak on the grill cooked rare, baked potato, asparagus, life is good...
ReplyDeleteMaggie - "The Sand Pebbles" is an extraordinarily powerful film. Hope you were able to get it for your dad, and watch it with him. Steve McQueen is incredible, as is Mako and Candace Bergin.
ReplyDeleteIf you ever get a chance to take the Jack Daniels' distillery tour in Lynchburg, TN, go do it. It is a blast. The thing most people do not know is that JD is manufactured in a DRY COUNTY!
