I'm sure if you are here, you've read this story.

Navy SEALs Face Assault Charges for Capturing Most-Wanted Terrorist

If you're like me, you got mad. WTF? A split lip? Cry me a river Ahmed Hashim Abed!

But now I have calmed down. While I completely support these SEALs, I understand the process. We need to do this. An allegation was made. It needs to be investigated. There needs to be due process.

But what I want is to make sure that this investigation is conducted in a way that is scrupulously fair to the SEALs. I want them afforded every benefit our justice system has to offer.

  1. I think this retaliation for the seal snipers shooting the pirates in the Indian ocean. The powers to be didn't ok that shooting.

  2. It's not retaliation for anything, lol! The current administration has very little to do with this.

  6. The individuals responsible for the charges should be tried for treason at the very least. It would be far more beneficial and less expensive to America if they were executed. It is the mindset of these individual and those with like attitudes who are weakening the Military's ability to carry out it's mission of deffending America.

  7. A U.S.MARINE'S point of view, job well done NAVY SEALS.You have a job to do and you did it.I believe you allowed the captured to determine the degree of force that would be used if any was used at all. I understand the Navy's posistion alligations was made, but stand strong and you will prevail.

  8. The United States has been blindly going down the path of no return. The seals should not be charged with anything. Terriorist are out to kill and destroy us, and one gets punched in the gut and lip. He should be thankful they didn't kill him. I would not be for taking any survivors. Find them, kill them before they kill us. This is WAR.

  13. These SEALs executed a capture ... they could have just executed that terrorist. However, that was not their mission; that was not in their character. After witnessing the burning bodies, the hanging bodies, what outraged individual would not have mutilated this terrorist when given the chance? The answer? These U.S. Navy SEALs.

These SEALs are honorable in standing for their bravery and skill in executing this mission. They do not deserve to face a court martial.

  14. I ALONG WITH SO MANY OTHER AMERICANS ARE TIRED OF THIS KIND OF ABUSE OF OUR GREAT SERVICE MEN.. GIVE THEM MEDALS,NOT ANY PROBLEMS..WE ARE A NATION OF POLITICAL CORRECTNESS, NOT OF THE BLOOD AND GUTS THAT MADE US THE GREAT NATION WE ARE.

  15. No chuck, we are a nation of laws and the SEAL story worked out just as it should. An accusation was made, an investigation ensued, charges were brought, facts were entered into evidence.

And the SEALS were exonerated and that was sweeter than having the charges dismissed. There is no cloud over their heads and they move forward with clean records.
